Ganes Creek is the largest producer of placer gold in the Innoko Mining District. From 1906 to 2002, Ganes Creek and its tributaries produced 104,000 ounces of gold and 13,318 ounces of silver from fluvial paystreaks in the Iditarod quadrangle; addition production has come from lower Ganes Creek in the Ophir quadrangle.
